Barabás LĹ‘rinc trombitás Eklektric nevű, egyedĂĽlállĂłan sikeres jazz-funk-pop zenekarának 2010-es leállása után szĂłlĂłban folytatja tovább. Bár egyszemĂ©lyes live act-jĂ©ben az elektronikáé a fĹ‘szerep, műfajok tekintetĂ©ben továbbra is teljes az eklektika: tempĂłk Ă©s hangszĂnek tekintetĂ©ben továbbra sem nagyon ad magának korlátokat a koncerten a trombita mellett immáron laptopot Ă©s billentyűket is kezelĹ‘ művĂ©sz, zenĂ©je egyszerre idĂ©zi a nyolcvanas- Ă©s kilencvenes Ă©veket csakĂşgy, mint a legĂşjabb trendeket.
This name sounds strange for Hungarian ears. It suggests four young musicians. Although the existence of the band and the co-operation of its members were an open secret, the group would not hurry to appear on the scene: before they were to give a concert, they planned and refined their eclectic repertoire which sounded more modern and experimental than their previous works but which was more song-centred.
The story of Brains is anything but usual. Since its foundation in Szentendre back in 1994, the band has been reformed again and again; it reached its final line-up by 2010 while the music it represents has completely changed compared to the beginnings.
To start with, our regular guest singer, Erzsi Kiss has her own bands: the “Egy Kiss Erzsi Zene” and the “Kiss Erzsi Panchan”. István Pápai does not feature in the latter but does in the former one; he is our percussionist who features elsewhere, as well: firstly, in the “PĂ©terfy Bori & Love Band” [PBLB]. (In the PBLB, other members of the band also feature.) Erzsi and István are sometimes invited to feature in the Colorstar which is the band of our drummer, Zoltán Farkas who is also the drummer of the “Pál Utcai FiĂşk”.
Harcsa Veronika is a young jazz singer who gained a Certificate in Jazz at “Liszt Ferenc ZeneművĂ©szeti FĹ‘iskola” (Franz Liszt College of Musical Arts) in 2008. She founded her first jazz band in 2005; they produced in the same year Speak Low, their album adapting jazz standards. Speak Low was published in July 2007 in Japan by the courtesy of Nature Bliss records, and it immediately reached the top position on the vocal jazz sale sheet of the greatest Japanese disc shop network, Tower Records.
There are only few bands in Hungary which are briefly labelled as “genius” chorused in union by fans, metal experts, critics and outsiders.
The “Isten Háta Mögött” (IHM) is one of them. This four-member band – the style of which is undeterminable but it is most probably metal – put themselves on musical record with their three albums. Unlimited psychedelic art, rock hard beats, fantastic and poetic lyrics, metal jazz, guitar throwing, and riff-carving – the IHM’s music is everything but monotonous.
The “Karavan FamĂlia” – according to the Gipsy vocal music traditions – developed its style which is based on the interpersonal and musical harmony among the four family members (parents and children). Their program consists of all sorts of adaptations of Gipsy folk music which are adjusted to their style including Mississippi blues, flamenco, and elements of Latin and Balkan music.
Az elektronikus Ă©s a nĂ©pi hangszerek kiegyensĂşlyozott használatával teremtett Ăşj nyelvhasználatra igen gyorsan felfigyelt a szakma. Nem sokkal a megalakulása után a zenekar egy 3 számĂłs demoanyagot kĂ©szĂthetett a Magyar RádiĂłban, mely aztán hamar ismerttĂ© tette a nevĂ©t. 2007 jĂşniusában A Zene ĂśnnepĂ©n Párizsban kĂ©pviselhette hazánkat, Ă©s ugyancsak azon a nyáron a Sziget Fesztivál Világzenei NagyszĂnpadára is meghĂvást kapott.
The “Ă“riás” (the Giant) is a young rock band which consists of four men with guitar, drums, bass guitar and keyboard who love playing music and who love this the most.
A Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra már eddigi pályafutása során is olyan életutat járt be, ami kevés hazai zenekarnak adatik meg, hiszen rövid idő alatt Magyarország egyik legfontosabb zenekarává vált, mindeközben párhuzamosan külföldön is nagy népszerűségre és elismerésre tett szert.
“…We all love Rage, very much! This may be our only common denominator in the Subscribe when the favourites of our childhood are mentioned. Then, at the end of 2004, Tamás brought up the idea that we should play some of our favourite songs, just for its taste, and we’d got a chance that year at “Sziget”. We had confidence in success ’cause the tracks were quite good, but in my opinion, none of us expected so many people and such madness…”
The Subscribe band is eleven years old this year. They received the most prestigious Hungarian professional musical award, the “Fonogram” in the category of modern rock. Since 2000, they have been past six nationwide tour, and they have been permanent headliners on the main stages of domestic (“Sziget”, “Sportsziget”, Wanted, Volt, Festival of Lake Vekeri, “Tokaj-Hegyalja”, “Balatone”, EFOTT, PEN, MEN) and foreign (“FĂ©lsziget”, Stuff Stock, Vama Veche, Artmania, Rock Your Mind) festivals.
