Antecedents and personal references
Our event-organising branch of business has been set up with extremely diverse and colourful professional backgrounds but with a mutual approach. Mátyás Szepesi spent six years in the leading organiser’s chair of the “Pesti Est” (references: Súgó Csiga Galas in 2001-2006, 10-year anniversary of the “Pesti Est” in Széchenyi Thermal Bath in 2002, and Est Invasion countrywide tours in 2003-2006); then, as a freelance event and activity organiser, he conducted musical and other cultural projects (references: light painting at MATÁV Hall Christmas Party in 2005, Jazz Pavilion in Sziget Festival in 2007-2008, MTV Icon musical producer since 2008, the event leader of “Zöld Pardon” [place of amusement in Budapest] in 2006-2009, etc.). During all these years, Miklós Anga-Kis turned Subscribe, a secondary school band into a decisive participant of the Hungarian music business (independent concerts in “Petőfi Csarnok”, three countrywide tours, and concert DVDs), and besides this, he is producer and party organiser of “Kettőnégy”, a rock-cult(ural) web show, and member of the Artisjus Protection of Authors’ Rights committee.
Organising activity and creating musical image
For more than a decade, day after day, we have been keeping tabs on the events of the Hungarian concert platform through our bands (NB. MMM Booking link), other commissions, or other people (club and festival organisers, band managements, etc.) in regular contact with us. We counsel and organise events on the basis of an objective overview of the music business on the behalf of the places of amusement, the media, and the companies (from establishments to commercial brands) which believe that the creation of their image may require good music and other cultural productions through which they are able to effectively reach the target group valuable for them.
Organising events
It is the greatest pleasure to organise a cultural event: if it is well done, everyone is happy in the end, including audience, bands and supporters. Besides, it is one of the most complex activities, which is not a coincidence; think about: how many sense organs are used at the same time during a concert or a performance, or even a cheerful evening spent at a festival. To deal with this matter much seriously: an organisation must be a remarkable event and good business for everybody who participates in it; to keep this in mind is our top priority. Our major profile is to completely organise and run popular music events but, on demand, we accomplish all their part activities and all the tasks related to them (e.g. PR and communication).
Complexity and related activities
- Designing the event’s conception and assembling activities
- Stagecraft, audio system and lighting
- Visual system
- Catering and hospitality
- PR and communication
- Professional audio-visual recording and post-production (mixing, editing, and mastering)
